The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency stated it is actually alarmed with regards to the higher range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some significant number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The provider issue produced for intervention activities a superior influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it tricky for that Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more methods to enable the servicing of all clients and maximize entry to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
